Desde muy temprano el último viernes iban llegando al coliseo Niño Manuel Bonilla en el distrito de Miraflores; los participantes, preparados para demostrar sus grandiosas cualidades en II Concurso de marinera norteña inter-instituciones educativas de la policía nacional.La competencia estuvo muy reñida, los concursantes gozaban minuto a minuto la melodía de las canciones interpretada por “La Banda de la Policía Nacional”. Cada ronda de las categorías eran aperturadas por un baile de los ganadores del concurso del año pasado.Este año los ganadores fueron: categoría pre infante, Colegio Virgen de Fátima; categoría infantil Precursores de la Independencia; Categoría Junior; Ingunza Valdivia y la categoría juvenil Martín Esquicha Bernedo. Los premios fueron medallas y trofeos. El talento de estos niños deleitaba al público y los cautivaba con la danza.
El jurado estuvo conformado por: Gisela Ramírez Vidal presidenta de la Asociación Cultural Perú Ritmos y Costumbres, representante del Perú en España-Barcelona; Edith Espinoza Rojas Presidenta de la Asociación La Perla del Chira; Martín Aguilar Rúa Campeón nacional de marinera norteña y tondero); José Aparcana Nombera quien dirige el elenco de danzas Perú de mis amores y Ela Vidal Ríos.
A l final para sorpresa de todos, la mejor barra también fue premiada; por su entusiasmo, puntualidad y orden, el premio fue para la I.E.PNP Jorge Cieza Lachos.Así como éste, también se espera futuros concursos que sigan incentivando la cultura peruana. Por ello Marianela Díaz hace un llamado a todos los jóvenes “Sigan cultivando las bondades de nuestro folklore nacional a través de sus danzas y bailes como la marinera norteña”.
